Void Monarch Claymore
The Void Monarch Claymore is a melee weapon from the Fantasy Evil faction. It is used by the Void Monarch.
Characteristics
The Void Monarch Claymore is a sword with even more diabolical features. Each attack will summon a streak of spikes that will damage all nearby units in the area, as well as setting them alight in reddish pink flames, draining their hitpoints for 3 seconds. Number of spikes summoned depends on the length of time swinging the Void Monarch Claymore.
Long in length, as well as capable of inflicting especially high damage, any unit wielding this is dangerous in close quarters, especially when taking in the streak of splash damage that burns all nearby units. Do note, the splash damage will also injure allies significantly.
Appearance
The Void Monarch Claymore is a large sword with two large blades carved from ossein joined with glowing energy connecting them, below them is a spiked bone guard with a second non-spiked guard below it, resembling a ribcage. Below this lies a crudely wrapped handle with spiked pommel, of which are also carved from bone.
Lore
In the concept art, it has been confirmed that these swords are forged from both collar bones from the remains of Big Mört, the pet fish and companion of the Elder Gods.
- They are also titled as the "Blessed Blades of Big Mört" which likely means that there are two of these claymores.
Trivia
- Real life claymores didn't look like the claymore in-game; in real life, a claymore has a relatively thin blade and a more upright hilt.
- The Void Monarch Claymore is present on the Void Monarch's first form, found floating behind it.
- However, the version floating behind its owner is actually slightly smaller than the one wielded in the Void Monarch's second form.
- The 'Spike' that is summoned out of the ground is actually a black sword; the hilt is underground.
