Celestial Aegis
The Celestial Aegis is a ranged unit from the Fantasy Good faction. They are equipped with the Aegis Shield. |
Characteristics
The Celestial Aegis creates a force field shield around themselves, deflecting any incoming projectiles ranging from Regular Arrows to Tank Rounds. Units can pass through the field, both allies and enemies. The shield is not invincible and will deactivate after taking damage from projectiles, in which must be recharged to reuse. When close, they will throw orbs at enemy units, inflicting minor damage and knocking them back greatly.
It takes 500 damage to deactivate the shield; any projectiles that can inflict more than 500 damage will still get deflected, but deactivates the shield immediately. The field does not heal itself when activated, and it takes 10 seconds for the force field to reactivate. They have a range of 10 WM and their orbs inflicts roughly 70 damage, with an attack every 2 seconds.
Appearance
The Celestial Aegis has white hair, a small braid tied at the back with a large butterfly headpiece. It wears a cropped sleeveless hoodie with gold accessories on the front, butterfly bracelets, and a skirt with thick black lining at the top, gold lining on the bottom, and a long, upside down trapezoidal shape on the front, bordered in black. Lastly, it wears shoes that, at the top, expand outwards at the sides.
Around the Celestial Aegis is a see through shield with a faded yellow border that covers enough space to protect three units in diameter, the user itself included, meaning nine average size Wobblers can fit inside. Within the shield itself, six glowing orbs that differentiate in color depending on the team float around the Celestial Aegis.

Strategies
Due to their force field's characteristics, Celestial Aegis' should be used as shield unit, with the extra bonus of throwing orbs from close range. Their shield has enough force to block a few projectiles, although they should be spread out as to avoid most of the Aegis' being killed by projectiles, since the force fields are not indestructible. Due to the force field being able to block a single Ballista bolt, it can be useful against Ballistas, especially in groups to counteract the entire forcefield being destroyed by a ballista bolt.
Celestial Aegis' should almost always be supported by other units to be effective though, as their orbs do low damage and will be easily killed by melee units owing to their low health, rendering their force fields useless. Melee units like Devout Gauntlets and Righteous Paladins can be useful companions to Celestial Aegis', able to kill many melee units to allow the Aegis' to block the projectiles.
