Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle is a ranged weapon from TABG. It is not used by any unit and is found only in the Unit Creator.
Characteristics
The Desert Eagle is a semi-automatic pistol, infamous for its large-calibre and high stopping power. However, this defining attribute is not reflected in-game at all, as it fires extremely weak bullets. While it can deliver decent knockback on its targets, it lacks the damage to take out units. Its slow fire-rate cannot compensate its lack of firepower either.
The Desert Eagle does possess good range and accuracy. However, it has a clip size of only six shots, in which the clip takes an exceedingly long time to reload after firing all shots. This dreadful attribute of the weapon completely cripples its firepower and damage capabilities, leaving it even more vulnerable.
Like most modern firearms in the game, the time it takes to reload a clip cannot be altered in the Unit Creator. Shields can also stop its bullets as well as absorbing the knockback.
In the projectiles menu are Desert Eagle Bullets, which are ironically not used for the Desert Eagle. They pack a little more punch than PPSh bullets.
Trivia
- It uses the same ammunition as the PPSh-41 in-game.
- The Desert Eagle fires .50 Action Express in real-life, exponentially larger than the PPSh bullet used in-game.
- It is referred as Deagle by some, including in the game files.
