The Viking Faction is one of the 14 factions in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.

The UI icon color of the faction is 'Light-Cyan'.

Description

The Viking Faction is based on the real Scandinavian or Nordic warriors present in 500-1066 that are known for their invading multiple parts of Northern Europe during those times. They invaded several places of Northern Europe, including the east of Scotland, the north of Germany, and between others. The Vikings also possessed a unique mythology preserved in the poetry, as represented by units such as the Valkyrie, Ice Giant, Ullr, and Thor (the latter three being present in other factions as unlockable units).

This Faction make it's strength from Berserk and Brawl than defense, with most units trading speed and power for defense. Some units can make powerful flanking charges with Headbutters, withstand barrages of ranged fire with Brawler Units. Viciously attack with leaping Berserkers, dive-bombing Valkyries, heavy area damaging Longships and all the while providing powerful backup units with the Jarl. They are also fairly strong melee Units. It first appeared in the third Pre-Alpha update with the release of the Brawler (then simply called "Vikings") and the winter map.

Trivia

• Several members of this faction have Landfall's logo on their belts.
• The horned helmets on the Viking Faction's heads are not accurate to the actual Vikings in real life, as there is no evidence of that ever occurring. This was mostly likely based on popular Viking interpretations with horned helmets.
• The Longship is not one unit, but six units, since there are sub-units holding it up/riding it.
• The Viking Faction’s map in the Open Alpha was called Denmark.
• The Jarl could have possibly gotten two spinning axes, rather than just one swinging axe.
• In the old Viking Trailer by Landfall, it can be assumed that the Ice Giant would have been the Faction's Boss unit.
• Alongside the release of the Unit Creator, the Jarl has 2 new abilities, has a higher price, and is new boss of the Viking Faction, replacing the Longship.
• The Valkyrie was the first flying unit to be added in the game.
