Renaissance (Map)
Overview
Renaissance is currently the only Renaissance themed Map available in TABS.
Description
The Renaissance map is mainly built around a large city square in an architecturally Venetian-styled city, with a canal in the foreground of the city. A few bridges cross the canal, and some of the buildings have overhangs and hallways that units can stand inside of. The campaign for the Renaissance is generally regarded as difficult, but placing units on the tops of the buildings on one side of the canal and possessing them allows the player to easily complete the campaign, as long as they don't fall off.
Musketeers will enjoy the high vantage points, offering protection and good sniping positions.
Appearance
Renaissance is a huge, Venetian styled city map, with orange roofs on top. Two of the buildings are rather open, with arches supporting the buildings, in which the opening leaves room for Units to patrol and and snipe from afar. The rest of these buildings are more like housing units, without any arches with the exception of a balcony, but other than that no way down except to jump.
There are two buildings in which Units can access: The first one is a corner doorway, in which is already opened. This allows Units (and players) to access a staircase, and from there is a bridge, with window like arches to let light in and also to let you snipe at enemy units. Then there is another building, in which there will be another arched bridge, also allowing for sniping.
