Reaper
The Reaper is the boss unit from the Spooky faction. They are equipped with the Reaper's Scythe and the Reaper Wings. |
Characteristics
The Reaper is an exceptionally powerful offensive unit with three different damaging abilities. Their scythe will burst a dark magic shockwave when swung. Their tentacles will impale any weak Units and hang them as an effigy, and will continuously impale the weakling multiple times if it's a 1v1. However, for the stronger ones, it will use its Scythe to keep its distance, while at the same time doing major damage.
Appearance
The Reaper closely resembles its origins of the mythological Grim Reaper : A tall skeleton wearing a dark hood and dark tattered robe as well as wielding a scythe and floating above the air. However, it also has 6 dark tendrils from Tokyo Ghoul, used for turning enemy units into pincushions.
Unit Voice
Usage
The Reaper attacks enemy units with a diagonal slash similar to the Harvester. This attack also seems to cause major knockback as units go flying after the attack. The tendrils ability on its back will impale any normal-sized or low health units and turn them into piñatas of corpses, and then keep them suspended in the air. When their cooldown on a tendril's attack is done and it is in range, it will throw away the previous victim and impale a new one. If the Reaper ever dies, it will unleash an explosion of dark energy, pushing away enemies and dealing moderate damage. The dark energy will then suck in nearby enemies into an implosion, dealing major damage. For units that are weak and have less health. they sometimes get picked up with the tendrils, but for units that are stronger and higher health like the Jarl or for a group of weaker units, the Reaper will use their scythe.

Trivia
- It was shown on a GIF along with the Candlehead, Skeleton Warrior and Pumpkin Catapult.
- The Reaper, together with other Flying/Hovering units, can scale walls that are tilted towards them.
- If the Reaper is killed by an Ullr or an Ice Archer, its skeleton remains intact.
- The tentacles behind its back are actually controlled where the user's mouse is. They will impale any unit, enemy or ally, depending on where the mouse is pointing.
- The Reaper used to be able to make units fear it, but this was quickly removed.
- This could be because the developers wanted it to be an exclusive ability to the Skeleton Warrior.
- If you turn on "Make Units not Die" in the Bug DLC, when the Reaper grabs a Unit with its Tendrils, the Unit will float above its head, but won't perish.
