Mace Spinner
The Mace Spinner is a Secret melee unit from the Medieval faction. They are equipped with Mace Spins. |
Location
Go to Medieval 2 and look inside the tall tower to the right, near the castle. On the floor of one of the towers is a pair of maces. Look at the maces until they start glowing. |
Characteristics
The Mace Spinner is a tough and durable unit wielding two maces as their weapons. Instead of swinging the maces normally, they attack by spinning their whole body and extending their arms, turning themselves into a blender of sorts.
Appearance
The Mace Spinner looks like a Red or Blue Wobbler dual wielding maces. It is dons plate-armor boots, a chest-plate, and a helmet very similar to the one of a Squire but a lot less cubic and more round with no holes.

Usage
The Mace Spinner will spin when an enemy unit gets close. The Mace Spinner does low damage and the damage seems to depend on the speed of its spin. When the Mace Spinner hits a unit, he will often knock over the unit, making it useful for disrupting formations and knocking back low HP units. Their tendency to fall over makes them rather ineffective against most units however.
Nonetheless, if the Mace Spinner is used with at least 4 cheerleaders, it could cause a tornado to appear with the Mace Spinner in it. This tornado state will automatically start up after enough time passes, regardless if it is within attack range or being controlled by the player (meaning the Mace Spinner should be kept away from the front lines and stick close to the cheerleaders until the buff starts). While in this tornado state, it is even faster than the Wheelbarrow and Wheelbarrow Dragon.
That being said, the Mace Spinner is still vulnerable to attack in the tornado; smaller units that are sucked into the tornado are less likely to attack, but heavy units or kamikaze units such as the Scarecrow's exploding crows can still get in a lucky shot. The tornado can suck up friendly units as well, so use this combo sparingly.
Unit Possession
While possessing the Mace Spinner, holding Space while looking at an enemy within close vicinity will make you spin (go in 3rd person mode first) which will lightly damage all enemies (and teammates) in that spinning radius.
If you have at least 7 cheerleaders boosting you, you will turn into a tornado after a few seconds. Beware; it is hard to control if you're in first person.
