The King
The King is the boss unit from the Medieval faction. They are equipped with the King's Sword. |
Characteristics
The King wields the King's Sword, a towering Great Sword that can can kill many weak Units and severely injure the stronger ones. Its bulkiness does not impair its attack speed either, with it having an average cooldown period that can be shortened with each successful hit, giving the impression of a frenzied King.
While costing a fortune, the cost will be worth it, as it will take quite a lot to defeat this Unit in battle. In addition, their heavy weight makes them resistant against knockback, letting them press on with little difficulties. Despite being large and weighty, they possess a surprisingly high movement speed and can advance against anyone who oppose them.
Appearance
The King is a large Wobbler that wields a German Zweihänder sword. They wear a golden bejeweled crown, accompanied with a dirty blonde beard, and don a short-sleeved blouse with golden-yellow designs around the collar and sleeves. The King wears an elegant medium-sized cape with golden buttons and straps. They have a thick basic leather brown belt with a golden buckle. They also dawn a pair of puffy pantaloons with golden yellow folds. The King wears leggings with brown, buckled shoes.

Usage
The King has high damage output and can even take on more expensive units like the Mammoth, Minotaur, and Ullr.
Because it swings its sword so low to the ground, The unit can occasionally get its sword stuck when fighting small units. Its Zweihänder swings can take out small groups in a single hit, making Halflings not very efficient when not in very large groups.
Also while being boosted by 1-3 Healers it can be quite difficult to defeat, especially with a strategy consisting of low damage units.Due to the relatively large size of the attack, it does not work well with units that evade attacks or units that move quickly, and it is not very strong against long range attacks.
Trivia
- The King was teased in a trailer, and was initially named the Zweihänder Giant and looked more like a Squire.
- It is voiced by a popular Youtuber named BaronVonGames.
- It has the same beard as the Chieftain.
- Be careful when facing a Jester with The King. Jesters can easily counter The King by simply backflipping out of the sword's downward swing and quickly attack repeatedly with their knives and shoe blades while The King's attack is in cooldown.
- Nowadays, however, this is much less viable, as the King attacks much faster.
- The King's Sword became totally accurate due to the increased sword weight to the King in 0.6.0 update.
- The King used to be considered one of the best units due to its high health, high damage, and overall cost at the release of the early access.
- On some rare occasions The King’s health could go up to 3000+, making them one of the most durable units.
- Despite the parrying lugs implying a blunt ricasso below, the King's Sword still seems to count it as a sharp part, as it can be used to kill exactly like the rest of the blade.
- It used to cost 1400, but then it got changed to 1500.
- The King, Jarl and the Captain, have a unique walking animation.
- Surprisingly The King has no actual death sound, instead when it dies it reuses its voice lines but in a slowed and significantly lowered pitch
