Potionseller
The Potionseller is a ranged unit from the Farmer faction. They are equipped with Potion Throws. |
Characteristics
The Potionseller is a fragile and weak unit armed with a Potion in both hands. They will throw them at enemy units from a medium range. Even though low in health and only having average movement speed, they are somewhat expensive due to the unique drunk properties of their strong brew.
In combat, the Potionseller throws their Potions at a very fast speed and have a relatively quick reload; their Potions fly at a relatively slow speed and deals very low damage. However, upon impact, the Potion will splash and effect anyone in the splash zone with drunkenness, making them green and confused; they may even splash themselves when thrown up-close. These tipsy units will fail to concentrate on attacking and wander about; they may even struggle to stand and walk. Sadly, this effect does not deal damage overtime, and will wear off after a few seconds depending on the dose. In addition, units with more health have more tolerance to the Potions' effects.
Appearance
The Potionseller is a Wobbler of average size holding a Potion in both of their hands. They have an unusually round head with umber brown hair. They wear a dark team-colored jerkin with a light team-colored bottom tighten with four rope. Each side has a copper button above the chest of the vest. They also wear a brown undershirt underneath the vest and a pair of dark team-colored hosen along with a pair of brown boots.
Unit Voice
Usage
Potionsellers are very good at distracting and "confusing" enemy units, especially when they are clumped up together as it can make them keep collapsing and being easier targets for them or other units. Because their potions do area-of-effect, even a small number of Potionsellers can have a big effect if enough enemies are caught in the blast.
However, they should not be used as a main ranged unit, due to their overall lower damage in comparison to other units (like the Archer), as well as being far more expensive. So most of the time they are mostly a support unit, even though they can kill some weaker units (Clubber, Halfling, etc.). Also, they can easily hit themselves if their enemies get too close.
Encounters
As the only ranged unit in the Farmer faction, not counting the Apple Thrower, one can find the Potionseller often at the back, whether it's behind a river or their comrades. Unlike most other ranged units, they do not excel in damage but rather in support, driving your (or their) units drunk and vulnerable.

Trivia
- YouTuber Kro calls the Potionsellers Larry, and if there are more of them, they are given names that rhyme with Larry, such as Barry, Sarry, Harry, etc.
- While most people thought that the potions are poisonous, they actually deal no damage overtime. Only the initial impact (from the bottles themselves) deals damage.
- It is likely a reference to a viral video about a man playing with his computer's photo booth function to perform a dialog between a potion seller who refuses to sell potions to a knight due to them being "too strong".
- The confusion has no effect in first-person mode, since the player controls the Wobbler. It only makes the unit fall over.
- The potion impact does 30 damage, making this a very low damaging unit.
- The Potionseller is one of the only units with a face that looks abnormal, the others being the face of the Wheelbarrow Driver. Both are based on the Potion Seller viral video.
- In the Wild West Update, the Potionseller had big eyes and double pupils.
- (This is a bug that has been patched)
- The potions used to be a violet color at the start of the early access.
- It used to cost 240 at the time of its initial release.
