Void Monarch
The Void Monarch is the boss unit from the Fantasy Evil faction. They are equipped with Void Monarch Swords as well as the Demon Transformation. |
Characteristics
First Form
The Void Monarch is a dark and devilish unit, dual-wielding two magical swords that create a small purple-ish explosion with each swing, draining the health of those near. When attacked, it will teleport to their attacker.
Second Form
After dealing 800 damage (more needed if facing a single target), the Void Monarch enters their second form, replenishing any lost health to full 100%, and increasing it from 1,200 hp to 2,000 hp. The second form makes the Void Monarch attack with a larger amount of AoE spikes and does the same things in the first form, but with much more power and, like previously mentioned, spike quantity (though less teleportation).
Appearance
First Form
The Void Monarch first uses the Wobbler (Humanoid) unit base and has extremely messy black hair covered by a crown made of bones, the lower half of its head covered behind a team colored mask that extends to the shoulders, trimmed twice with a brighter team color. On their arms are spiked vambraces that are the color of bone. It wears seeming bone mesh armor, with two outcropping, spiky “shoulders” and a cuirass resembling a ribcage. Underneath is a shirt, with a darkened version of its team color. For the legwear, it wears a spiked team colored belt holding up some rolled up pants colored darker, with two spiked cuisses/ankle-plates, topped off with some dark grey cuffed boots.
Second Form
In the second form, the Void Monarch is considerably taller, and now wields the giant claymore that it once merely left floating behind their back. Its bone crown is now too small for it, turned 40° to the left. The Void Monarch also has red eyes akin to that of the Dark Peasant, and huge prominent team colored horns coming out of both sides of its upper forehead. The Void Monarch's shirt is tattered as well, almost to the point where it is not even a shirt anymore, and its bone cuirass has not been spared either, as it is cracked considerably, with bits and pieces of it floating around their body still retaining its original shape. The Void Monarch’s pants, thankfully, are still somewhat intact, but now tattered into becoming shorts, and not only is an ankle plate missing, but where the boots were are now replaced by giant, black goat hooves. Lastly, not only has a tail sprouted from above their backside, but extra spikes grew from within their body, mainly on the top of its head, chest, left upper arm, right lower arm, and along their back, the last of which ending just above where the tail starts.
Unit Voice
Lore
The Void Monarch has two Claymores, both crafted from Big Mört's collar bones.
Trivia
- The Void Monarch, when transformed, is actually resistant to the black hole, as it will not be pulled in nor will it take damage.
- The Void Monarch does not tend to transform as often in a 1v1 as their counterpart due to not being able to cause as much damage. Thus, do not rely on the Monarch's ability to transform in a 1v1.
- Compared to the actual weapon Void Monarch's second form wields, the claymore resting behind the first form's back is smaller in size.
- The second form of the Void Monarch currently has some model issues, the main two being that its head is not fully bonded to the torso or even fully connected to it at all for that matter, and their hooves cause a slight texture overlap with their feet.
- In uncommon occasions, when a unit dies while a Monarch is transforming will result in a defeat.
- This shows that the Void Monarch’s second form is a different unit, and because it takes them some time to transform, it means that there is a period of time that the enemies have without opponents, giving them the victory.
- The Void Monarch can transform faster if piled by multiple units due to their area of effect damage being maximized.
- If the Void Monarch gets frozen by Ice Archers or Ullr (or more easily, the Debug mode) while transforming, they will appear dead until the second form replaces them, essentially bringing the unit back to life.
- This only properly works if there's more than just the Void Monarch in the given battle.
- The Void Monarch will teleport to an enemy Deadeye shortly after being targeted by one, killing them before they can fire.
- Any status effect, from allies or enemies, will cause the Void Monarch to teleport, regardless of whether or not damage is dealt.
- You can force a teleport if you shoot or hit the monarch with their own teammates' weapons.
- You can also force a teleport with the Flag Bearer Charge Order or Banner Bearer Stay Order.
- The name of its second form is: LORD OF DARKNESS AND STUFF LIKE THAT... ALL OF THE BAD STUFF REALLY... HE'S THE LORD OF ALL THAT.
- This is clearly a joke about them being a sort of dark lord or some sort of equivalent to the stereotypical Devil, though one thing to note is that the real Devil was never biblically stated to be the Leader of Hell, and actually will be cast into it. The role of Hell’s ruler supposedly belongs to God.
- The Void Monarch usually loses to the Chronomancer in a 1v1, but if the Void Monarch reaches its second form, it can defeat the latter.
- The Void Monarch is referred to as the Dark King in the game files.
- The shades of the fire emitted by the Void Monarch can be somewhat recreated through Lithium Chloride (pink) and/or Strontium Chloride/Nitrate (red).
- Despite many thinking that there are ties between the Dark Peasant and the Void Monarch, Zorro has confirmed in a tweet that there are no strong connections between the two.
- The Void Monarch is a very good counter to the Da Vinci Tank, as it is able to teleport inside the tank and render the unit unable to hit them. It can defeat up to ten of them this way as long as it doesn't get flung outside the machine, but due to its size, it is rather unlikely.
- This can be more effective by starting with a forced teleport.
