Cannon Barrage is an ability used by Blackbeard. The ability summons a storm of cannonballs (8 cannonballs) coming from the sky toward the enemy dealing an extremely high damage high damage if one of the cannonballs fell on the enemy, but it misses its target most of the time(unless it has a large hitbox), each cannonball can deal 2,000 damage.
Strengths
- Large units (can two shot Ice Giant, they will take more than a single cannonball because of their big hitbox).
- Tanks.
- Very high damage (each cannonball can one-shot Minotaur).
- AoE damage.
- Good range.
- Quick reload time (5 seconds).
Weaknesses
- It is rather inaccurate, and will miss the target several times before causing damage.
- Can damage the unit possessing cannon barrage if it got a cannonball (this can be avoided by adding one of the projectile blocking abilities to the unit).
- The cannonballs can be deflected by any kind of projectile blocking abilities.
Trivia
- When the ability is used on a unit that has the Dark Peasant Hands ability, the cannonballs will not be grabbed and returned to the unit (even though they are cannonballs), instead, the hands will stop them just like Arrows.
- The ability cannonballs are considered as hit projectiles and can be deflected, even by the weak deflection of the Samurai.
- The Cannon Barrage is able to 2 shot the Ice Giant and one-shot the Da Vinci Tank.
- A single cannon barrage can do similar damage to Hwacha barrage and it has less cooldown, but Hwacha barrage is more accurate.
- Armored units are immune to its cannonballs.
- The Cannon Barrage's cannonballs will actually stick to the units body upon hitting them, unlike normal cannonballs shot by the Cannon will simply break into pieces when hitting a unit.
- Theoretically, it is one of the longest projectile range in the game due to its extremely high velocity, it can even reach from the end to the other end of the Simulation map if shot by a unit. But this is practically impossible because the projectile will despawn even before hitting the ground.
