The Knight is an armored and formidable Medieval unit. They wield an Arming Swordw and a large shield that protects it from most attacks. Upon at close range, the Knight will charge in and attack, utilizing both sword and shield to hack and batter enemy units in a hasty attack.
Appearance
The Knight is a tall Wobbler wearing plate armor covering most of its body, a team colored cape, and an open armet helmet. It uses a sword and a rather large shield with a white cross painted on.

Strategies
Usage
The Knight is a powerful melee unit, useful particularly against ranged units thanks to its large shield. It does a decent amount of damage with its sword, but the shield is what makes it so powerful. While it looks like it is covered in armor, it is only cosmetic, meaning it won't protect the Knight from attacks. Its massive shield protects against large projectiles from short-range heavy units, while its long weapon allows it to pierce light melee units from a safe distance. The noble Knights are superb in close combat in TABS.
The Knight has three attacks. It can perform a shield bash, can stab enemies with its sword, or can charge the enemy. Its charge allows it to get into close range to enemies faster, but it also can open itself up to attacks this way.
The Knight is mostly good against groups and (non-armor-piercing) ranged units, relying on its shield. Single units with a lot of damage or with an attack that bypasses its shield are the best to kill it with. Examples being the Catapult, Ballista, or even the Harvester, as its scythe goes around the shield. The knight is really good with ranged units, even the Firework Archer, since it is so heavy.
It also works well when being backed up by fodder units, like the Squire or Farmer, as its decent health, large shield, and large stature makes it more targeted and excels at protecting other units, due to its large shield and decent health. With this strategy, the Knight can protect the units behind it while they can get free hits.
Trivia
- The Knight is voiced by a YouTuber named Draegast.
- Its voice (aka. Draegast) was made slightly deeper until 1.0.7.
- The Knight's voice used to be a lot higher. Then it was deepened in the Early Access.
- However, as of 1.0.7, the Knight's voice is back to its high pitch.
- Due to its previously ineffective fighting style, it got buffed in a way so it can now fight "better".
- It can take around 20 arrows to the shield from Archers and still be up.
- Although the Knight's Helmet resembles 15~16th century armet helmet, its armor looks more like a conglomeration of 14th century Transitional armor (flat chested steel cuirass, and shin pads) and late medieval/ early renaissance period armor( gothic elbow guards).
- The design used to be different during the showcase of the unit, the shield lacking the cross, and the armor being way less cartoonish, darker, with a realistic Armet helmet.
- The Knight's and Vlad's voices used to be the same.
- It used to be one of the weakest units in the game, since it used to cost 900, and had a poor fighting style. This was all changed, and was made a lot better.
- There was a bug where the Knight was bigger than the King. Thankfully, it has been patched in release 0.13.0.
- The Knight was given a new sword in the 0.13.0 update instead of the Sword it usually wields.
