Musket

The Musket is a ranged weapon from the Renaissance faction. It is used by the Musketeer.
Characteristics
The musket can easily pierce through multiple lines of Units with just one shot and can go through shields. This makes it one of the most powerful weapons in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.
History
The Musket was essentially an early firearm, although muskets didn't have any rifling. One of the main differences being its slower reload time. In real life, the true Musket was used from the 1500s to the 1800s, but the term Musket was still used for some time after that. The matchlock Musket however, lasted much shorter as more designs of cocking and firing a firearm were invented.
Trivia
- Real life muskets took around 30~50 seconds to reload.
- The matchlock was the first firing mechanism. It consisted of an S-shaped arm, called a serpentine, that held a match, and a trigger device that lowered the serpentine so that the lighted match would fire the priming /cocking powder in the pan attached to the side of the barrel. The flash in the pan penetrated a small port in the breech of the gun and ignited the main charge.
- Unlike the TABS muskets being incredibly accurate, real life muskets were notoriously inaccurate and had poor range, being beat out by flintlock rifles in both respects (although the latter was slow compared to the musket).
