The Present Elf is a Secret ranged unit from the Farmer faction. They are equipped with the Thrown Present.

Location

You find this unit on Farmer Snow on a house balcony. There, its present can be found. Look at it until it poofs after a little period of glowing. Then, you will unlock our favorite full-retail North Pole employee!!

Characteristics

The Present Elf throws a present at the opponent, which opens after around 3 seconds, releasing a random unit (including un-spawnable sub-units, like Da Vinci or Traveller) as an ally. After throwing the Present, they will proceed by punching the opposing Units.

Appearance

The Present Elf looks like an average sized Wobbler. The Present Elf dresses like an elf, with a white shirt, a team-colored vest, green pants and shoes. The Present Elf holds a team-color present with yellow accents and some bells as well as a candy cane.

Strategies

Usage

This unit could be used for expanding your current army. It is capable of summoning all Units currently in the game. This includes powerful units like the Dark Peasant, making this unit potentially the most powerful unit in the game. It cannot summon custom Units, though.

Due to the luck-based nature of the Present Elf, it can either be the strongest unit in the game if summoning units like the Dark Peasant, or the weakest unit if summoning units like a Halfling. Note that the Present Elf can only throw one present. After that, it punches like a Peasant, but with a punching sound.

Changelog

Early Access 0.13.0 The Present Elf was added to the game. Early Access 0.13.1 Limited the Present Elf's present to one throw only. Early Access 1.0.1 Made the Present Elf able to spawn the new units.

Trivia

• The Present Elf's present can inflict damage if it was struck by a unit at high speeds.
• All of the Present Elf's clothes were accessible in the UC before the official unit was released.
  • This was also the case for the Banshee, but only with the hair of the unit.
• The present tends to open at a random time; a unit could spawn right away from one present, but another could spawn its backup after 3 seconds.
• Artillery like Ballistae and Catapults may spawn upside-down, rendering them useless.
  • Most siege units die before being able to do anything, as they land on and hit their respective present multiple times and take damage, often being destroyed.
• Spawned units from the Present Elf are invincible for a very short period of time after coming out of their presents.
• Upon a Blue Team Present Elf respawning after either tabbing out of or finishing a battle with them in it, their present projectile appears red for a brief moment before turning blue like it's supposed to be.
• The Present Elf used to throw unlimited presents for a long cooldown.
  • If you possess the Present Elf, you can still spot the cooldown after throwing the present.
• There was an older version of the Present Elf called the Chest Thrower.
• The Present Elf, alongside the Dark Peasant, Super Peasant, Witch, and the Sensei, are not available in the Nintendo Switch release.
  • This is probably because of performance issues.
