Shouter
The Shouter is a Secret melee unit from the Viking faction. They are equipped with the Shout. |
Location
On the Viking Map, you will find a Skyrim-style Nordic helmet under a rock pile on the left side of the field, near the top, center edge of the map. Look at the helmet until it pops, and you will unlock the unit itself. |
Characteristics
The Shouter has the ability to give a roaring shout, creating a shockwave that blasts all enemy units away. Every unit within the shockwave will be knocked back with the same power, regardless if they are separate or in a ground. Though powerful, the shockwave itself is harmless and does not cause any damage.
Units that are taller or heavier will be more resistant to the shockwave's knockback. Shouts will also be less effective if the unit is right at the Shouter's face. These can be remedied by placing more Shouters to amplify the shockwave.
After a shout, the Shouter will try to get close to punch their opponents while they wait for their yelling cooldown. They have a decent pool of hitpoints, but are otherwise weak in combat.
Appearance
It is a very clear reference a to Skyrim and the iconic dragon shout, Unrelenting Force. It wears a Skyrim-style Nordic iron helmet too, another possible reference, and they wear a Skyrim armor, including an iron vest and the same clothing as the Ullr initially had.

Usage
The Shouter's ability does no damage. Their health is only decent and the punches are weak, making them more of a distraction and suppression unit than an actual soldier. But if placed on a map with a ledge, they can knock units of the map with its shout. However, an exceptionally huge flaw is that the Fus Ro Dah is a combat move ability, meaning that the Shouter will keep closing in dangerously to punch their enemies. If they are too close to another unit, the ability will not push the Unit back enough.
The Shouter works well with ranged units, especially ones that have a long cooldown (Ex: Musketeer), due to how far they send most units and buys the ranged units enough time to get another shot in.

Trivia
- The Shouter's Shout will become weaker if the round is reset.
- You can blast away stronger units with multiple Shouters.
- The Shouter has a special audio effect when it shouts, using a Berserker voice-line, but with an echo.
- This Unit works surprisingly well against Barrel Rollers, as long as they’re within a safe distance.
- This is because anything other than allies touching the barrel will make them kamikaze, and apparently, the Barrel Roller will kill itself if it actually touches its own barrel.
- As the Shout is an ability, Cheerleaders do not increase the rate in which it can shout.
- The Shouter originally costed 250, then was changed to 400 in the Unit Creator update.
- Strangely, the changelog said that it had a price increase from 250 to 300.
- The Shouter used to share the same voice as the Berserker.
- The Shouter is based on the protagonist of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, known as the Last Dragonborn, or Laat Dovahkiin, especially when the player learns the first dragon shout, being “Unrelenting Force” aka Fus Ro Dah (Known for being a meme), that acts as the TABS Shouter's attack.
